People driving on the Memorial Shoreway through downtown Cleveland cannot help but be impressed when they pass a working utility scale wind turbine on the north side of the freeway. It’s part of the Great Lakes Science Center and a great addition to its mission of making science exciting. Windpower Engineering editor Paul Dvorak learns more about the machine in this interview with Facilities Manager Jeff Gadd.
Compilation of Cleveland's bathtub(and non-bathtub) mishaps. Oh yeah, and Loretta's gross boobs. All credits go to FOX and Family Guy/Cleveland Show *I also messed up on my editing in a few spots(like at 2:05 was supposed to extend about 7 more seconds), so just ignore that ;) Here is a link to the rest of that clip that was cut out in my other FG video. http://youtu.be/9oXtdx7y39M?t=5m6s Here is a link to the kidney scene I missed : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIs020HRGHg and a link to the Simpson's Guy clip that came out after my video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BISLSxjBGhs
Cleveland's Great Lakes Science Center installed a 225 kW Vestas V27 wind turbine in 2006 on the city's harbor front between the Cleveland Brown's football stadium and the science museum. The V27 is no longer manufactured and this unit was bought used and then reconditioned. The Science Center has done an excellent job of installing the turbine to maximize its aesthetic appearance and the unit provides a dramatic visual attraction on the city's harbor front skyline. (Cleveland fronts onto the south shore of Lake Erie.) Cleveland's urban wind turbine joins a limited number of such wind turbines in the Anglophone world: Wellington New Zealand's V27 overlooking Wellington Harbor, Toronto's WindShare turbine on Lake Ontario, and the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers' Fuhrländer turbine in Bos...

This is a video compilation of the fabrication and deployment of the world's first freshwater wind farm in Lake Erie, 8 miles offshore from Cleveland, Ohio. With limited funds and resources, we managed to successfully deploy this hardware on November 23, 2009, and have data, video and audio streamed remotely in real-time. Please visit www.operationmustardseed.com for more information.

Very large turbine at Lincoln Electric's world headquarters in Euclid OH just east of Cleveland. First scenes are from I-90 heading west near the shore of Lake Erie. Winds that day were gentle, probably 6-12 knots N or NW on the lake surface. News stories say it's one of the largest in the US.
Indians bullpen catcher Ricky Pacione approached my daughter and I and said he won't throw her a ball because I switch hats. He then proceeded to talk to the ballboy and tell him not to throw us a ball because 'he has thousands.' I did not argue with Pacione and just let him vent. I wanted to say, "You're wrong Ricky, I don't change my hats... I change my hats AND shirts," but I didn't want to be rude, it was Good Friday for crying out loud. Additionally, Ricky's little tantrum made other fans in the section hostile toward Olivia and I for the rest of BP. You can hear it after the second ball is tossed to us where some bozo yells, "She's not even a Tiger fan!" I switched shirts last year into Royals gear while Pacione was sitting in the bullpen and he saw me. I must say, the guy has...
